jingling bells, jangling keys

High low high low,

I'm trying to decipher lines. Where it exists between confined and pushed. What past scribbles meant to mean. How to walk heel to toe. Why a power line would hang so low. That can't be right, right? Maybe left! How can I be (expected to be) creative within parameters. How can I fulfill what's asked of me? How can I fully fill what I ask of myself?

I am asked to present myself in 60-90 seconds.

What is most important to me? This is my list:
    1. drawing
    2. acts of love
    3. work
    4. laughter and perseverance (invisible but not silent extra r)
4a. doing anything to the fullest in the name of experience

thankfully some people only ask for me to ask it of myself

I've been picking up books I've already read, and pondering about eight pages while water boils. Can't say any of it sticks but can say it's enjoyable. It must be floating around somewhere in there.

Regarding 3, work (job) has taught me to be careful and curious about every single thing that I touch, not just what I am immediately compelled by. There's something holistic about the approach, so long as my feet aren't blindly walking. Oh to balance the trance state of repetitive action while still being careful at every gesture. Forget ways of seeing, this is ways of being!

recent journeys as seen through the baby lens

Crest a hill and find a cow. Make her a bouquet of clover. Get one head pet in while she's not paying attention. She's paying attention. Some girls have horns, too.

Is it okay to just say making art is selfish? Like kind of inherently? Or at the very least requires so much time both in the doing and in the time surrounding focused so singularly?

I value work! Like a bee! Like my wasps!

What if I'm doing it because I like it, is there anything so wrong about it? Have I already expressed this to exhaustion before? Why does it feel so pertinently at the precipice every time!

Dance, monkey, dance dance dance!

The architect or the gardener. Or the gardening architect? Wanting to have spontaneous play while still knowing the final result. Perhaps you really can't have it all(?). Or maybe that's why I make the map, to choose a direction regardless of the stops that actually occur.

No matter what, expedition. Journey on!

It's off to ______ I go!

Yours in a fervor, and putting aside frenzy,

E
